FAQs - Lost or Stolen Card

If your Purdue ID card has been lost or stolen, you should suspend your ID immediately via the eAccounts portal. Log in to deactivate your card. Contact your Residence Hall front office or the Purdue ID Card Office to see if it has been found.

If you suspend your ID card via eAccounts when lost, you will receive an email instructing you how to reinstate it should it be found.

You can purchase a replacement ID card for a fee at the Purdue ID Card Office, payable by cash, check, debit card, BoilerExpress, Mastercard, Visa or Discover

Departments may choose to pay for a replacement card on a customer’s behalf.

Please note that ID card information is processed daily. Our office requires one to three business days to receive information to our system after it is initially submitted to the Purdue source system. Our office is unable to produce ID cards before they are in our system. Furthermore, any information or processing errors — such as incorrect spelling, PUID number, or card type — must be corrected within the source system.

Upon loss of eligibility, the ID Card will no longer be valid, and access to University services and facilities tied to the card will be terminated.

We will use the photo on file you're your replacement ID Card unless the picture is more than two years old.

The Purdue ID Card Office does not offer temporary cards. Contact your Residence Hall front office for assistance with temporary door access.

Sorry, no.
In support of Protect Purdue initiative, our office is currently closed to walk-in visitors. At this time, we are unable to take new photos, and new photos are not eligible to be uploaded online after there is already a photo on file. The previous photo will be used.
