These Timely Warning messages are part of Purdue University's commitment to provide campus-area crime information in compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or, Clery Act, as it is commonly known.

The West Lafayette Police Department is investigating a reported case of armed robbery, at the 300 blk of Lutz Ave.,  and the current investigation is ongoing.  The report was made on 4-19-15, 01:30.  An arrest has not been made.  If you have any information regarding this investigation, please contact the police department at 765-494-8221 or report this anonymously at 1-866-818-2620. Crime prevention and awareness, as well as consistent reporting, may be the strongest defenses against becoming the victim of an assault. While becoming a victim of crime is never the fault of the victim, the following list of practices may help safeguard individuals from becoming victims of assault:  Please report all suspicious activity and utilize the SAFE Walk program for walking escorts.  Be mindful of ETS locations on campus and choose well lit walking paths through campus. 

The Purdue University Police Department is investigating a reported case of attempted burglary, at 314 N. The Purdue University Police Department is investigating a reported case of motor vehicle theft at 296 S. Russell St and the current investigation is ongoing.  The report was made on 3-15-15, 23:53.  An arrest has not been made.  If you have any information regarding this investigation, please contact the police department at 765-494-8221 or report this anonymously at 1-866-818-2620.  Always lock your vehicle, close all windows and sunroof, and take your keys.  Never leave your vehicle running when unattended. The vehicle has been recovered and suspect identified.    

A report of sexual battery was received which occurred at 341 Northwestern Ave on 10-30-14.  The CSA report was made on 2-9-15.  An arrest has not been made.  Please report all suspicious activity, trust your instincts.  If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place or call for help.  Consider using the SAFE Walk program for walking escorts. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the university. The policy statements address Purdue's policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security. Three years’ worth of statistics are included for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in or on off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the university and on public property within or immediately adjacent to the campus.
