Safe and Sound Week 2025
Safety committee members and AO staff are invited to join Administrative Operations for Safe + Sound week at Purdue. During the week of September 22, we will be offering information, activities and prizes for workplace safety.
What is Safe + Sound?
Safe + Sound is OSHA’s nationwide event that highlights the success of workplace health and safety programs. During the week-long event, OSHA provides ideas, information and suggestions on how to keep workers safe. Each year focuses on a different safety topic. This year, Safe + Sound will offer resources for emergency preparedness and response.
Why participate?
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about safety, spread awareness and engage in activities to promote safety awareness here at Purdue University. This is also an opportunity to share information to help manage hazards and risks all around campus and campus buildings.
Who can participate?
All university safety committees and Administrative Operations staff are welcome to participate! Safety committees and AO Staff are encouraged to particpate as part of a team.

All activity submissions are due by Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. Activity materials are linked as downloadable PDFs below. The Safe + Sound table will be open for questions on Sept. 22 and 26 located in Hampton B245 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Daily Safety Trivia
- Participants will have the opportunity to complete Daily Safety Trivia questions containing OSHA, university and personal safety-related questions. Daily questions can be submitted through the Qualtrics forms below.
Safety BINGO
- This activity will allow each participating committee or staff member to work together to complete specific safety tasks to get a “BINGO.”
- One bingo card per committee/staff member: Please download the printable PDF that includes completion guidelines and the associated point system.
- Completed bingo cards can be sent to facoccsafety@groups.purdue.edu via photo submission.
Safety Scavenger Hunt
- Participants will collect safety hints and clues to figure out the secret safety word. This can be completed any time during the Safe + Sound Week.
- A printable version of the rules can be downloaded here. Please submit your responses through this Qualtrics from.
Find a Hazard
- Participants will have the opportunity to see if they can spot the hazards in various workplace scenes.
- The images can be downloaded below and printed out. Please submit photos of your completed activity using this Qualtrics form.
