Office of Engagement earns national top-10 recognition at Social Innovation Summit

Purdue’s Societal Impact Fellows Program received a top-10 nod at the 2023 Social Innovator of the Year Awards, competing alongside major corporations and global philanthropist organizations, including the U.S. women’s national soccer team, Audible and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

Gallardo named Vice President of the updated Office of Engagement

Roberto Gallardo, director of the Purdue Center for Regional Development and an associate professor in the Agricultural Economics Department, will take on the role of vice president for engagement as the engagement office is elevated to the Office of the President, reporting to Alyssa Wilcox, senior vice president for partnerships.

Celebrating retired Associate Provost for Engagement, Steve Abel

On June 30, 2023, Steve Abel retired from his role as Associate Provost for Engagement after nearly a decade of service to Purdue engagement and 40 years of service to Purdue in the areas of student education, faculty leadership development, and mentorship.
