Labels, Signs, and Stickers

Labels, signs, stickers, and etc. are available to Purdue employees only.

Labels and signs are used to communicate warnings and other important information regarding laboratory use and the contents of containers. All laboratories and containers shall be checked to ensure they are properly posted and labeled. Labels, signs, or other forms of warnings must be legible, in English, and prominently displayed on the container.

Examples of required labels and signs and their intended use are shown below. Most of the labels and signs are available from REM, in limited quantities, at no charge . Lab Safety Supply and other vendors also have various sizes and shapes of labels and signs available for your use. If you have questions regarding labeling contact REM.

The labels and signs represented are not actual size, nor are their relative sizes meaningful. Actual dimensions may be provided in the description of the label.
