Global Resource Steering Committee

This committee is available to proactively research needs identified through long term study abroad, research, engagement, etc.  Members of the committee recommend changes to policies and procedures as issues are identified that impede participation in international activities.  They benchmark with peer institutions to recommend best practices.  Various subcommittees develop manuals/templates/provide guidance that assists faculty and staff in identifying items that need to be addressed as they embark on international activity.

PROJECT CHARTER

PURPOSE:

To assist with international activities in which Purdue’s faculty and staff are involved via a standing committee with an experienced set of resources and specialized knowledge.

SCOPE:

Develop a set of resources in various functional areas at Purdue to be available to provide expertise to faculty and staff as they relate to international activities.

All faculty and staff involved in long-term overseas activities that require assistance to accomplish their mission.

Since this is a standing committee, the schedule of meetings will be established by the chair. Suggest bimonthly meetings to review current policies and procedures as well as anticipated projects.
