Business Management Training Core
The Training Core is intended to be a resource for both supervisors and new employees. It can serve as a “starting point” for development of a training plan. The workbook (link below) includes the Training Core, an outline of the New@Purdue modules and planning calendar templates.
New@Purdue
New@Purdue is a SuccessFactors based on onboarding program. The New@Purdue tab provides an overview of the program. If enrolling a new employee in this program, supervisors are encouraged to enroll in the New@Purdue Administrator training to guide them through the onboarding process.
Training Core
This worksheet represents primary components of both the Treasurers training matrix and the New@Purdue program to be used as a starting point. Contents of this document represent the Training Matrix courses, New@Purdue activities and items pulled from RAS Training Plans in Engineering and Science. Please review the instructions for how to use the worksheet at the top of the page. The final training plan should be a collaboration between the supervisor and employee. The core will be updated twice a year or whenever the matrix is updated.
Training Calendar Templates
Individual supervisors have different methodologies for tracking an employees progress through a training plans. Three tools are suggested below and can be tailored to meet the need of the area.
1) Training core: Open and SAVE the current version of the Training Core. to a local directory. Then, add a “completed” column to the far right. The employee can then update their progress for review with their supervisor.
3) Template Monthly: The “At a Glance” tab contains a training plan template that can be used to show a one month training plan.
4) Weekly Template: these are sample templates that a supervisor can use to plan out each week of the employees training period.
