Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant (IISG): Understanding what consumers think about fish can help aquaculture producers, marketers, and industry partners communicate more effectively. A new publication from Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant provides research-based guidance to help the Midwest aquaculture industry strengthen consumer connections and promote locally produced fish.
The publication, Catch a Following: Messaging Strategies for US Midwest-Produced Fishes, translates social media sentiment research into practical communication strategies for producers working with Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Perch and Rainbow Trout. The goal is to help the industry build consumer trust, highlight sustainability efforts and strengthen the market position of Midwest-produced fish.
To discover more about this research and what it reveals about consumer attitudes toward Midwest-produced fish, download the publication, Catch a Following: Messaging Strategies for US Midwest-Produced Fishes.
