The Special Review Tab serves to main purposes. First is that this is the method to identify which proposals need to have some form of review completed by the VPR office at Purdue. The second is a method of entry to identify Human and/or Animal usage for data mapping to Grants.gov forms when utilizing S2S functionality.

There are several items that require a "flag". Flagging indicates a review should be conducted by the regulatory assurance committee. The items to look for in the proposed project that warrant a "flag" are:

  • Biohazard Materials
  • Export Control
  • HIPAA
  • Government Export Control
  • Lasers (Class 3b or 4)
  • Radioactive Materials
  • Human Subjects
  • Vertebrate Animals
  • Recombinant DNA
  • Federal Good Lab Practice
NoteNOTE: All listed Special Review "flags" will remain in Pending status untill addressed by the appropriate Compliance group.
