Subcontracts

A subcontract is established when an entity outside of the University is being contracted to do a portion of the work on a specific proposal. This entity will establish a defined statement of work and all work will be performed outside of the University using facilities, resources and support services of the contracted activity. Prior to our proposal submission, a statement of work, budget/budget justification for the activity and institutional signatures from the entity should be presented to Sponsored Programs. Some agencies also require subcontract information and any guidelines should be followed for individual sponsors regarding subcontracts.

Please refer to the FDP clearing house link to determine if your subcontract entity is a participant or if they will need to fill out an entity profile in order to participate as a subcontract.
