The Investigator Tab is where the Principle Investigator and all Co-Investigators are entered with their associated Units. This is also where the Credit Split window is accessed.

Investigator Tab Columns

Top Section

• Person Name:  Displayes the name of the added Investigator as provided by the SAP HR interface
• PI: The PI box defines who the Principle Investigator is for this proposal.
• Multi PI:  Indicates Multi PI status per Purdue's internal policy.  Please contact SPS Pre-Award for further details
• Faculty:  Indicates if the named Investigator has PI status as defined in SAP
• Effort %:  DO NOT USE
• Acacemic Year Effort %:  Utilized by SPS Pre-Award for Current & Pending Purposes
• Summer Year Effort %:  Utilized by SPS Pre-Award for Current & Pending Purposes
• Calendary Year Effort %:  Utilized by SPS Pre-Award for Current & Pending Purposes

Middle Section

• Lead Unit:  Indicates which listed unit is considered "Lead", only one unit unde the Investigator listed as PI can be identified as "Lead"
• Unit Number:  Coeus unit number
• Unit Name:  Name of unit correspoonding to the above selected Investigator

Bottom Section
