Tips to Navigating Construction Sites
- Construction sites can pose both short and long-term disruptions to normal pedestrian, bike and automobile traffic. Sidewalks and streets may be impacted without notice.
- Signs will always be posted to indicate which areas are closed to traffic, with new areas of travel highlighted.
- If work is being done near exits or entrances, signs are posted to not use these doors. Examples are NO EXIT or EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY. This means these are NOT to be used unless there is an actual emergency inside the building
- Sidewalk closures will be marked with signs and barriers. Additionally, new paths of travel will be determined. Please follow the posted path. Do not walk in traffic lanes if sidewalks are blocked.
- Construction sites bordered by fences are closed to the general public and posted with NO TRESPASSING. These areas are under control by contractors and law enforcement will be involved if entrance to the site occurs without
