MS4 Stormwater Permit Awareness Training
Description:
Because Purdue University owns and maintains storm sewers, it is regulated as a Municipal Separated Storm Sewer System and thus must comply with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Stormwater General Permit. This permit generally outlines how to keep the storm sewer system clean along with our facilities. One specific requirement is that employees who work out of facilities that have a reasonable potential to release pollutants into the stormwater sewers shall be trained on an annual basis.
