Make sure to sign up for PurdueALERT to receive text messages.
The Office of Emergency Preparedness has the PurdueALERT system to help keep our students, faculty and staff safe and prepared. The PurdueALERT system encompasses several communication methods, including text messaging, email and outdoor warning sirens.
Medical symptoms and situations that need immediate care:
- Stroke symptoms
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Seizures
- Altered mental status
- Traumatic injuries
- Severe allergic reaction
- Diabetic emergencies
Do not delay care and call 911.
The Purdue Fire Department provides free treatment by the ambulance medics, along with free Emergency Room transportation services 24 hours a day.
