Hazards from on High
- Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) are a source of danger not only to operators, but also to those on the ground not associated with work performed.
- Falling objects can be harmful of fatal to those below the work platform.
- Blind spots can be dangerous when the operator is moving or maneuvering the MEWP due to limited visibility.
- Never walk or pass under an elevated boom or platform.
- In short, whenever or wherever you encounter a MEWP, the best course of action is to stay clear of it.
