Respiratory Protection

Under 29 CFR 1910.134 an employee may be required to wear respiratory protection while working.  The Purdue University Respiratory Protection Program manual provides an overview of the policies, guidelines and procedures that must be followed to ensure your safety.  If you need to wear a respirator complete the Respiratory Protection Program Participation Application form and return it to REM.  If you have any questions about inhalation exposure(s) or situations that can create a potential for an inhalation exposure, please contact REM.

Employees required to wear an N95 respirator under the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard must participate in the Purdue University Respiratory Protection Program. Employees using an N95 respirator when not required under the standard must document they have read and understood the information provided in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134 (Information for Employees Using Respirators When Not Required Under the Standard).
