Length of time at PUSH:

Before joining PUSH in 2026, I spent 21 years practicing at IU Health, first as a registered nurse and later as a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a Nurse Practitioner, I worked in Family Medicine and Infectious Diseases, caring for patients across a broad range of needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I provided care to hospitalized patients, while also caring for patients in the outpatient setting with HIV, PrEP needs, and a full spectrum of infectious diseases and wounds. Most recently, I practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Reproductive and Sexual Wellness at Riggs Community Health Center in Lafayette. In this role, I provided care focused on obstetrical, reproductive, gynecological, primary care, and sexual health needs. This experience strengthened my commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and inclusive care that meets patients where they are.

Why do you like working at PUSH?:

Everyone here has been welcoming and helpful! I am excited to care for and educate the students of Purdue on their health and wellness.

Philosophy of Care:

I am strongly committed to providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care to everyone, regardless of race, sex, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I strive to empower and educate individuals to advocate for themselves and make informed decisions about their health. My goal is to create a welcoming, respectful environment where every person feels heard, valued, and supported in achieving their best possible health.

What do you like to do when you're not at PUSH?

Outside of PUSH, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have four children, ranging in age from 16 to 28, and three grandchildren, from age 7 to newborn. Our family loves traveling, camping, kayaking, and simply relaxing and enjoying time together. With two high schoolers involved in marching band and swimming, our schedule is always busy with activities! When I have some downtime, I enjoy reading, listening to music—especially hip hop, metal, and ’90s rap—and spending time at home with our three dogs and two cats. I’m especially excited to have more weekends together as a family and to find new places to explore and adventures to share.

Fun Fact:

In high school I aspired to be a backup dancer for Janet Jackson.
