Brian Kobak, PT, DPT

Brian Kobak

Staff Physical Therapist

Educational/Fellowship History:

  • Indiana University - 2019
  • Indiana State University - Doctorate of Physical Therapy 2023

Professional Interests/Specializations:

I am primarily an orthopedic PT, however, I am comfortable with vestibular conditions as well. I am also dry needling certified and Graston certified. I am always learning and will add to this list in the near future.

Length of time at PUSH:

Before coming to PUSH in 2025, I worked as an orthopedic, vestibular, and neuro physical therapist at Franciscan at the YMCA. I have been practicing since 2023.

Why do you like working at PUSH?:

I love working at PUSH because of the environment that Purdue has to offer. I also love working with students to get them back on track for their goals. I enjoy teaching students more about their bodies and how to avoid getting injured on their own. My co-workers are great as well as they make “work” a fun, yet challenging environment as we are constantly learning from each other.

Philosophy of Care:

I am very patient focused and will get to know you and your goals first to get you back to what you love doing. I will make sure I meet your needs and answer your questions to the best of my ability or get you to someone who can. I am a functional movement based physical therapist, meaning you will probably sweat when working with me. I make PT a fun environment as laughter is the best medicine after all.

What do you like to do when you're not at PUSH?

When I am not at PUSH you might see me walking with my family including my wife, daughter, and my two crazy dogs. I am a hobby guy so I will be playing golf, pickleball, frisbee golf, basketball, tennis, cycling and definitely not running. I love being outside, visiting new breweries, food trucks, and working on my house and yard.

Fun Fact:

I can do a cartwheel but not a handstand.
