Hiring Updates
Students: In response to COVID-19, Purdue University has placed a pause on staff hiring. However, some departments have received approval to actively recruit for select student positions and are accepting applications. Applicants should continue to apply to positions they're interested in. The status for positions intending to continue the recruitment process will be reflected in the posting.
Purdue departments: There may be some cases where a hire is considered essential. Therefore, exceptions may be granted by a dean, vice provost or vice president -- in consultation with the vice president for Human Resources -- based on unit needs. Visit the Protect Purdue Faculty and Staff page for more information and steps on requesting an exception. Note that if you are granted an exception, hiring priority must be given to students who are enrolled in the residential campus program.
Employment of Remote Workers
A Change of Duty Station request is required to be completed when an employee's normal work duties will be performed for more than 22 days away from their hiring campus. This applies to faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate student workers. More information is available on the Manager Resources page.
Working through COVID-19
As the University continues to take steps to limit the risk to our community from the possible spread of COVID-19, Human Resources is adjusting its operations and providing additional updates, reminders and information to keep faculty and staff informed. Visit HR's COVID-19 page for information regarding student employment hiring and onboarding.
