Sponsor-owned equipment refers to tangible property purchased with federal grant funds where title remains with the sponsor (i.e., the federal government or pass-through entity), unless explicitly transferred to the recipient. Note: At the end of the project, the equipment may be required to be returned to the sponsor, depending on the terms of the award and federal regulations.
