A Year to Remember

January feels like a blank page, a clean start waiting to be filled with possibility. But before we try to take a giant leap, let’s pause and think about what steps will actually get us there. Big goals often begin with small, intentional actions that build consistency and confidence over time.

Instead of aiming for perfection, focus on progress. What’s one thing you can start doing this week to support your well-being? Maybe it’s scheduling your annual check-up, joining a campus recreation class, reconnecting with a friend, or simply carving out ten minutes a day for quiet. Each small step adds up, and before long, you’ll find yourself moving toward the bigger picture you envisioned.

Purdue offers so many resources to help you along the way, from PUSH and CAPS, to the CoREC and a variety of student organizations that connect you with others who share your goals. Take advantage of them; you don’t have to grow alone.

Wellness Tip: This month, write down one meaningful goal for the year ahead, then break it down into three small steps you can start right now. Real growth isn’t about giant leaps; it’s about showing up, one step at a time. Let’s fill this new year’s page with purpose, balance, and a Purdue story worth remembering.
