Jeff Tatum

Director of Financial Affairs

Jeff Tatum earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Ball State University. During his long career, he has worked in the auditing field and in accounting and financial management.

Jeff holds the designation of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Prior to coming to the Student Life business office, he spent five years in the Purdue Internal Audit Office.

As director of financial affairs, Jeff oversees the business side of Student Life. This includes accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, travel, and financial reporting for all operations within Student Life.

The department also is involved in special projects like building construction and University-wide initiatives, such as Steps to Leaps. Jeff and his team are charged with providing stewardship of the funds used by Student Life operations and programs to serve students.

Away from work, Jeff enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his two adult sons.
