Jeff Stefancic

Roger C. Stewart Office of Student Leadership, Engagement and Community and Senior Associate Dean of Students

Jeff Stefancic has served as executive director for the Roger C. Stewart Office of Student Leadership, Engagement and Community, and senior associate dean of students since April 2025. He oversees units that strive to provide a comprehensive student leadership and community development model for Purdue students. These areas include Student Activities and Organizations; the Roger C. Stewart Leadership and Professional Development Department; the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities; and Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life.  

Stefancic joined Purdue in 2010 as associate dean of students for the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, directing a comprehensive student conduct operation that addresses both academic and non-academic misconduct, as well as supervising Student Legal Services and Off-Campus Student Services areas for the Office of the Dean of Students. He also serves on a variety of campus and community working groups that aim to promote safety and reduce risk among the Purdue University and Greater Lafayette communities. 

Previously, Stefancic served as a program coordinator within the Offices of the Dean of Student Life at Texas A&M University, where he oversaw the Student Conflict Resolution Services Office and participated as a member of the university’s Critical Incident Response Team. Prior to moving into full-time student conduct administration, he worked in various residence life functions at the University of Michigan and Texas Tech University.

Stefancic holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Education in higher education administration from Texas Tech University. He has been active with the Association for Student Conduct Administration, serving as treasurer for the Raymond H. Goldstone Foundation, and has previously been an elected member of the association’s board of directors.

Stefancic is also a certified medicolegal death investigator and serves as a deputy coroner for the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office.

In his spare time, Stefancic serves in a leadership role in his church; is an avid runner, reader and podcast listener; and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and two dogs.
