Cara Powell
Senior Director of Dining

Cara Powell serves as the senior director of Purdue Dining; Culinary, bringing over 23 years of experience to her role. She has developed a strong expertise in operational management, fiscal planning and strategic direction. Powell leads a dynamic team dedicated to nurturing a sense of community where everyone feels welcomed and supported.
A proud alumna of Purdue University, Powell earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) in 2001. She is also an active member of the National Association of College; University Food Services (NACUFS).
Outside of work, Powell enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeremy, and their two children, Sophia and Hunter. Her interests include supporting her children's activities, cooking, participating in CrossFit and enjoying the great outdoors.
