iacuc_validations

Just as in other modules, such as Proposal, there are system configured checks and balances, called Validations. These rules look at pre-determined criteria of the record to see if there are areas that need to be addressed or if required portions are missing. Failed checks will produce either a "Warning" or an "Error".

Warnings: Validation Warnings will display when there is criteria which is not satisfied on the protocol, but is subjective. A Warning may also provide helpful reminders to the individual creating the protocol record. IACUC Protocols may still be submitted for review when Warnings are present.

Errors: Validation Errors will only display when there is a required element of the IACUC Protocol which is not accurately satisfied. A description will be provided with the error, which will give direction on what needs to be corrected. An IACUC Protocol CANNOT be submitted with Validation Errors.

bullet Run Validation Checks

All Validations are automatically run when a User attempts to Submit Protocol to IACUC. They can also be manually run at any time by clicking the "Validate" link in the left navigation.
