Emergency availability for crisis assessment and disposition during business hours at PUSH Room 224:
8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

After hours crisis assessment and disposition - call CAPS (765) 494-6995, then press 1.

Brief Phone Screen:

To initiate service with CAPS, please call 765-494-6995 to schedule a brief phone screen, which are available during business hours, Monday-Friday. Brief phone screens are a phone appointment with a clinician to assess the nature and urgency of your concerns, and identify the most appropriate next steps.

  • Psychological Sciences Building (PSYCH) Room 1120

Located at 703 Third Street, across from the Elliott Hall of Music. When you walk in the front doors there is a reception area to the left to check in and a waiting area to the right.

  • Purdue Graduate Student Center (PGSC) Rooms 101 and 103

Located at 504 Northwestern Avenue inside the Northwestern Parking Garage. There are two chairs in the building lobby for you to wait for your appointment.

  • Cary Quadrangle 

Located at 1016 West Stadium Avenue, on the corner of Russell Street and Stadium Avenue. Enter through the door that faces Ford Dining Court, go down the hall past all of the mailboxes on the wall and CAPS will be on the right side of the hall. 

Cultural Center Consultation Hours

CAPS therapists host regular, weekly consultation hours during the fall and spring semesters at Purdue University cultural centers.

This is a great, safe way to:

  • Ask questions about CAPS services.
  • Get clarification around topics like confidentiality and service fees.
  • Have a private, confidential consultation with a therapist.
  • Share your experiences and voice needs, suggestions and/or concerns about access to CAPS services related to your cultural group(s).
  • Have a fun, informal interactions with CAPS therapists.
