Additional Information - I am almost totally blind and use a guide dog for mobility. As a professional with a disability, my practice is informed by the resilience I possess and by the compassionate way I challenge students to succeed. I enjoy camping, reading and being with friends and family.

I believe an essential part of therapy is to keep the human front and center in the interactions, while also working to build on the strengths a person already has to pull them into a better place.

Clinical Interest Areas - Like everyone at CAPS, I'm a generalist therapist who works with whatever situations come up. I figure that people aren't typically seeking out the problematic situations they have to deal with, so I need to be ready to meet them where they are. That said, I'm particularly energized by working with people experiencing graduate student issues, interpersonal trauma, substance use and video game addiction.

Additional Information - Last year I picked up painting miniatures as a hobby. My office fish, Elpis, is a great listener despite not having ears.
