Cultural centers join Student Life portfolio

The Student Life portfolio now includes Purdue’s five cultural centers: the Black Cultural Center (BCC); the Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center; the Latino Cultural Center; the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Center; and the Native American Educational and Cultural Center. The centers serve as connection points where all students can find community, attend events, learn about and engage with different cultures.

Anne Edwards serves as the inaugural executive director of Purdue’s five cultural centers and director of the BCC. Edwards is a two-time Purdue graduate, having earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in hospitality and tourism management. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Valparaiso University and earned a doctorate in educational psychology from Northern Illinois University.
