Length of time at PUSH:

Before coming to PUSH in 2023 I worked as a nurse in the emergency room (ER) in both Eskenazi Health (Indianapolis, IN) and University of Michigan Adult ER (Ann Arbor, MI). After graduation from my nurse practitioner program in 2016, I began working in primary care at Packard Health (Ann Arbor, MI) and Indiana University Health (Monticello, IN). I also have experience with occupational health (through Johns Hopkins University) as well as mental health (through Cerebral).

Why do you like working at PUSH?

I love working with a patient population who is motivated to learn and improve their health in life- no matter where that starting point is.

Philosophy of Care:

When I work with my patients, I like to include the patient to help come up with a reasonable plan. It’s important to consider other potentially limiting factors: cost, transportation, schedule…the list goes on! What I’ve found in my practice is that the best plan for maintaining health is a plan that is evidence based, fits each individual patient’s needs, and is agreeable for both the provider and the patient.

What do you like to do when you're not at PUSH?

I love cooking and listening to true crime podcasts. My pandemic hobby that I picked up was to learn to play viola (despite never playing any instruments in the past). It’s been a lot of slow practice, but I can now play 5 different versions of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”--I’m always looking for tips on how to improve!

Fun Fact about me:

I learned how to swing dance here at Purdue in 2008 and hope to be able to get back into the dance scene soon!
