Kurtis Kuhn, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) - Staff Bio

Family Nurse Practitioner

Credentials: FNP-C, MSN

Professional interests/specializations:
Improving health to help people live a long, happy and healthy life!

Length of time at CHL:
Prior to working for CHL I worked for Franciscan in the ER for 6 years. Prior to this I worked as a Paramedic for 10 years. My desire to pursue education as a nurse practitioner was driven by my desire to bring that experience to bear for the varied needs of patients.

Why do you like working at the CHL:
I was given a great opportunity to complete a clinical rotation at the CHL and this gave me an inside look that no interview can afford. During that time, I was able to see the level of interaction, commitment to patients and the great strides that were made in the well-being of the patient evidenced by improvement in weight management, decreasing medication needs and mental health optimization.

Philosophy of Care:
My philosophy of care is to give the patient the best opportunity possible to improve their health through the use of the tools and services available. This has many avenues and is individualized for each member leading to improved care delivery.

What do you like to do when you’re not at the CHL:
I enjoy spending time with my two children and wife. Our time is spent outdoors frequently playing, doing yardwork and gardening. My other time is spent with projects around the house.

Fun fact about me:
I grew up in a farming community and enjoy antique tractors.
