College of Science Administration

Majors/Programs:

Interdisciplinary Science (IDSC)

General Requirements:

  • Minimum Semesters: 1
  • Minimum Credits: 12
  • Minimum GPA: 2.0

Course Requirements:

  • Students will be admitted on a SPACE AVAILABLE BASIS.
  • Students on academic probation will not be considered.
  • All CS and Math courses considered for CODO must be taken for a letter grade on a Purdue campus.
  • For CODO purposes, only the first or second attempt of a required CS and Math course will be considered. Course withdrawals are included in this requirement.

Data Science

General Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA: 2.75

Course Requirements:

  • CS 18000 with a grade of B or higher
  • Grade of B or higher in a Calculus course approved to meet degree requirements - MA 16500, MA 16100, MA 16600, MA 16200, MA 26100, and/or MA 27101. MA 26500 and/or MA 35100 can be considered.

Students wishing to receive highest consideration should earn an A- in CS 18000, B or higher in an approved Calculus course which will be used to meet degree requirements, and have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA

  • Students on academic probation will not be considered.
  • All CS and Math courses considered for CODO must be taken for a letter grade on a Purdue campus.

Special Notes:

Data Science is an academic program in both the departments of Computer Science or Statistics. Students will receive advising support to determine which department will best fit their career goals once admitted to the program. Space availability in the program will be very limited.
