Perspectives Spring 2026
A Word from Our Vice Provost:
One of our greatest endeavors in Student Life is to meet students where they are. That doesn’t just mean offering the programming and events they want — it means doing so in a way that inspires them to learn and grow beyond the classroom. We want to support our students in the great endeavors they pursue academically and personally.
I’m excited to share that the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life has launched a new programmatic framework to support these efforts. We are engaging all components of the division to ensure spaces, programs and systems are accessible and set up to promote student growth. With coordinated, scalable experiences, we can create a consistent model of engagement for students, no matter when or how they choose to get involved. You can read more about this programmatic framework — including a breakout on our leadership and engagement area and the addition of Purdue’s five cultural centers to the Student Life portfolio — inside this issue of Perspectives.
We are seeing rapid growth in the number of registered student organizations at our Indianapolis location. The new Student Trailblazer Fund has offered significant financial support to launch and sustain clubs and organizations, awarding grants totaling more than $160,000 to student organizations in Indianapolis. Be sure to read our story on the Trailblazer Fund to learn more.
Our division is fortunate to be home to staff and alumni who continue to provide exceptional leadership and impact on campus and beyond. We've had several staff receive national recognition, and Student Life alumni and friends continue to achieve distinction in their fields while giving back to the university. Our Impact Award winners and recognitions pieces highlight some of the people who make an impact on the student experience.
Thank you for your ongoing engagement and support of Student Life. Boiler Up!
