Teacher Professional Development Programs

Summer 2020 Middle School Workshops

Purdue University College of Science will be offering online professional development (PD) for middle school science teachers (grades 6, 7, 8) in July 2020. These will be hybrid PD sessions, with videos of hands-on activities and demonstrations, as well as live collaboration meetings. Each grade level PD will include explanations of lessons, activities that address various content standards, and integration of those activities into the science classroom. Certificates for Professional Growth Points will be provided based on participation. Each grade level PD will last for 2 days and only those who are registered will have access to the content. RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY!

We have 20 openings for kit registrations (for each grade level) and additional openings for non-kit receiving registrations.

  • 6th grade PD: July 20-21
  • 7th grade PD: July 23-24
  • 8th grade PD: July 27-28

Free Registration (without teacher kit)

Paid registrations (includes teacher kit)

NOTE: The kits include supplies to do all of the activities that are part of the PD. You can attend this PD without having the supplies. If you would like to do the activities yourself, you will either need to sign up for the paid registration to receive the materials or plan to purchase your own materials.
