The campus of Lancaster University is located on 250 acres of parkland overlooking the Irish Sea. Students have easy access by public bus to the city of Lancaster, located three miles north of campus. This modern campus is the center of learning for approximately 10,000 students. The city of Lancaster lies on the west coast of Britain. By train the city is just over one hour from Manchester, two hours from the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, and three hours from London. And with a population of around 134,000, Lancaster is one of the fastest growing areas in the County of Lancashire.
