30th Anniversary Celebration

WISP Pledge
Thirty years ago, the Women in Science Program (WISP) at Purdue University was created to expand opportunity, challenge barriers, and elevate all the voices that drive scientific discovery. Today, as students, faculty, staff, alums, and allies, we celebrate that legacy and recommit ourselves to shaping a more innovative and impactful future for science. Please electronically sign our WISP Pledge below and commit to:
- Building Belonging: Creating environments where every scientist feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute.
- Lifting Others Up: Mentoring, sponsoring, and championing current and future generations of scientists.
- Driving Change: Challenging bias, removing barriers, and advocating for opportunities for all in science.
- Advancing Discovery: Recognizing that diverse perspectives fuel innovation and strengthen scientific outcomes.
Share Your Story!
From forever friendships to career milestones and community connections, being a Boilermaker is special to so many of us – and all for different reasons. Whether you discovered Purdue University as a student, found your purpose here as a faculty or staff member, or have built lifelong connections, every gender-diverse scientist has a story to share, and the Women In Science Program wants to hear yours! Share your favorite College of Science/WISP memories, career milestones as a woman in Science or campus connections and join the Women In Science Program's 30th Anniversary Celebration Oral History Project from wherever you are.
If you are visiting campus during Homecoming on 11/7/26, please join current WISP members two hours before gametime in DSAI (old Schleman Hall) to record your oral history. Also, visit us in the College of Science tent on Boilermaker Boulevard during the same timeframe.
