Elements of the Earth & Sky

Weather and Climate

Periodic Table

Created for middle school science walking students through atoms, emission spectra, atomic mass, isotopes, patterns on the periodic table, and balancing equations.

Story: We have crash-landed on the alien planet Boiler Thrace 150.  Our only hope to make it back to planet Earth is to complete a series of challenges and deliver the final code to your teacher. Your teacher will use the code you’ll receive when you complete Challenge 5 to launch the spacecraft so we can return home. Good luck!

Gateway to the Stars

This is a middle school math and science lockbox activity.

Story:

In a secret location somewhere around Cairo, a paleontologist and anthropologist discovered an artifact that predates human civilization. You have been assigned to this top-secret government project and everything contained in these files is highly classified.

Physicists have discovered this artifact is actually a series of THREE gates that will transport people and items beyond our Milky Way galaxy. Your team is tasked with finding a planet within these other galaxies that is suitable for both research and human survival.
