Purdue Math Summer Exam Policy and FAQ
Starting Summer 2026, all Purdue Math courses will require exams to be taken in person, including courses offered online or through distance learning. Exams must be completed on campus or at an approved testing center. This policy ensures fair and consistent exam conditions for all students.
How can I best prepare before registering for a Summer Math course?
- Understand that all exams must be taken in person
- Ensure ability to travel to Purdue’s campus or access an approved testing center
- Prepare to pay any testing center fees (fees vary by location)
- Schedule exams within the instructor’s required exam windows
- Review prerequisite requirements for any follow-up courses
- Contact my academic advisor if I have questions or concerns
Students who cannot meet these requirements should consider enrolling in an in-person section or delaying the course.

The transfer credit process can take seven weeks to complete. For this reason, a student would be unable to register for a fall term course which depends on the prerequisite course.
