Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Workshops

These sessions focus on ensuring all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity to create an environment free from disability-related discrimination and harassment. The workshops are 60 minutes in length and are limited to 40 participants per session. 

Advanced Americans with Disabilities Act General Session 

This session is designed to provide participants with a better understanding of the ADA and the ADA Amendments Act, employee’s responsibilities at Purdue, a greater understanding of how to interact with employees with disabilities, and campus resources that can assist with reasonable accommodation requests.

  • Prerequisite: You must complete the Risk Management Initiative - Americans with Disabilities Act Module online training to participate in the advanced session. Instructions for completing this online training are located on the Risk Management Employment Claims Initiative website.

Advanced Americans with Disabilities Act for Supervisors 

This session is designed to provide supervisors with a better understanding of the ADA and the ADA Amendments Act, their responsibilities at Purdue, a greater understanding of how to recognize requests for reasonable accommodations, and campus resources that can assist with reasonable accommodation requests.

  • Prerequisite: You must complete the Risk Management Initiative - Americans with Disabilities Act Module online training to participate in the advanced session. Instructions for completing this online training are located on the Risk Management Employment Claims Initiative website.
