Preregistration Calendaring Protocol

In order to provide a consistent timeline for campus partners, the following weeks of the semester will be used to determine key preregistration dates.  This has been approved by Advising Leadership Team, November 2022; modified by Bursar April 2023.

  • CRF opens: Monday of Week 3
  • CRF closes: 8 business days before schedules released (~Monday of Week 13*)
  • Overrides due: one workday after CRF closes (~Tuesday of Week 13*) at 5:00 PM
  • Schedules released to students: Thursday before Dead Week (Thursday of Week 14)
  • Bursar processing day: Friday of Week 14
  • Open registration: Monday of Week 15

*In the fall, CRF closing and overrides due are dependent on when the two-day university Thankgiving holiday falls.

Every semester student schedules will be released the Thursday before Quiet week. The Pre-Registration team needs 8 business days to do their work for the batch and advisors need one day for workflow approvals after the close of the CRF. This means that 9 business days before schedules are released is when the CRF will close.
