We Understand that Your Needs are Unique.

That's why Purdue gives you several medical options from which to choose. Choice gives you flexibility - and with flexibility comes responsibility.

You're responsible for choosing the medical plan that's best for you and your family. You're responsible for understanding your chosen plan so that you get the full benefit of its features. And you're responsible for keeping up with which providers are in your plan's network.

Anthem, Inc., Purdue’s medical plan administrator, makes your health benefits even more personal on the new anthem.com website. Getting your benefits information when and where you need it is now faster, simpler and more personal. Your plan information is at your fingertips via anthem.com. Whether you want to check a claim, find a doctor or keep track of your out-of-pocket costs, you can do it all with the new member-friendly website. Even on the go, you can find care and costs via Sydney, Anthem’s mobile app. For more details, take a look at “’Sydney’ – Anthem’s New Mobile App – Delivers Highly Personalized, Custom Experience to Users.” Watch this video for an overview of the website. Register on anthem.com or the Sydney mobile app and get started managing your health benefits.

And remember, Purdue Benefits is your partner. So if you have a question or need more information, contact us.

Machine Readable Files

The Consolidated Appropriations Act and Transparency in Coverage regulations require health insurers and group health plans to create machine readable files that contain the negotiated rates for in-network providers and allowed amounts derived from historical claims for out-of-network providers and make those files publicly available. A machine readable file is a digital representation of data or information in a file that can be imported or read by a computer system for further processing without human intervention.

The link will allow you to search for your files using your Employer Identification Number (EIN). Purdue University EIN 35-6002041

When using the search option, the page will display links to several files, including:

  • Applicable In-Network Negotiated Rate Files
  • Out-of-Network Allowed Amount Files
  • Out-of-Area Rates (applicable when members use providers in non-Anthem states.)
