The Purdue Horticulture Society and Purdue Student Farm Organization learned about grape harvesting from Miranda Purcell and picked apples for Food Finders on September 9th. In addition to harvesting, the students had the opportunity to taste several grape cultivars.



2 On Wednesday, October 18, the Purdue Horticulture Society, Purdue Student Farm Organization, and Purdue American Society of Landscape Architects came together for a festive gathering at Meigs Horticulture Research Farm, rolling up their sleeves to harvest and carve pumpkins.

A great time at the Student Farm Banquet last Thursday. Eighty students in attendance from department, college, and beyond. Student-created recipes. Student-prepared food. Huge thanks to chef Darcy Smink for leadership and kitchen space. Kudos to Natalia Rodriguez and the Purdue Student Farm Organization for planning and running a great evening!


On a windy, chilly Saturday HLA’s Spring Fest tent was abuzzed with excited attendees. Children and adults were lined up to get our famous plant necklaces.
