Note: The U.S. Department of Education has delayed release of 2024-25 FAFSA information until mid-March. If you — as a newly accepted student — applied for financial aid, and submit all verification information as requested, you should expect to receive an aid notification email from the Purdue Division of Financial Aid (DFA) in early April to your purdue.edu address.

Adjusted 2024-25 timeline:

  • Now: The 2024-25 FAFSA is open for students and families to submit at Federal Student Aid using Purdue University School Code, 001825. FAFSA hints can also be found at Federal Student Aid.
  • Mid-March: Purdue DFA anticipates receiving individual student FAFSA data.
  • April: DFA anticipates releasing financial aid notifications to new/incoming students via their myPurdue portal. Notifications will also be sent to parents who supplied a parent email address on the FAFSA.
  • Mid-June: DFA anticipates releasing financial aid notifications to current/returning students via their myPurdue portal.

We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this updated timeline. Please monitor the DFA website for additional updates.

As you review the Financial Aid Notification and Purdue Financial Aid Terms and Conditions, keep in mind that grants and scholarships are types of gift aid that do not need to be repaid. Educational Loans and Federal Work-Study (FWS) are types of self-help financial aid. Loans must be repaid. FWS requires work/labor.

All students receive their Financial Aid Notification in myPurdue and will not receive a paper mailing.

Purdue University is committed to providing students financial aid cost information that is clear, accurate, and transparent. Thus, Purdue is committed to using the Principles & Standards of the College Cost Transparency Initiative in its student financial aid offers.
