The Office of International Students and Scholars (ISS) is committed to the internationalization of Purdue University by providing appropriate services and support to international clientele and various University departments and offices, including on-campus immigration counseling.

Access to U.S. Immigration Seminar Recordings and Slide

The Purdue Postdoc Association frequently hosts informational seminars on U.S. Immigration and Visas. If you would like to access slides and recordings from previous workshops, please visit the PPDA’s shared Google drive here.

English Proficiency Classes Open to Postdocs

The Purdue Language and Cultural Exchange (PLaCE) offers English proficiency classes.  PLaCE supports international students who learned English as a second language and will benefit from language and cultural support as they adjust to life at a U.S. university.

  • Pronunciation, Public Speaking, Conversation Skills, Academic Writing, Reading Proficiency, American English Vocabulary

National Postdoctoral Association’s (NPA) International Postdoc SURVIVAL GUIDE

Sections include: Taxes, Building Credit, Using Credit Cards, Health Insurance, Housing and Utility Payment. You must be an NPA Affiliate Member to access this document.

You must first request your free NPA Affiliate Membership before you can access their resources. Click on this link and follow the registration process. Sign up as an “Affiliate Individual Member, Postdoc.” Once you click Submit, the NPA Membership Director will review your affiliate membership within 10 working days, and you will receive an email when it has been approved.
