Housing & Transportation
Housing and transportation resources for a smooth ride to Purdue.
Housing Resources
There are no on-campus housing options for graduate students and postdocs.
Purdue’s Off Campus Student Services (OCSS) provides guidance on finding housing, understanding leases, setting budgets, and connecting with local landlords. Postdocs can also access roommate tools, rental pricing reports, and consumer information to support a smooth transition to the Greater Lafayette community.

Transportation Resources
Purdue’s SP+ Campus Transit provides free bus service with a Purdue ID, making it easy to travel across campus year-round. Free for students, faculty and staff, this service offers the Purdue Campus Transit mobile app.
Off campus, the CityBus system connects West Lafayette and Lafayette with routes to shopping areas, neighborhoods, and campus. CityBus provides community-wide service, and passes may be purchased at the public rate. Additionally, CityBus will continue operating the Route 41 (formerly 23) The Connector year-round, at no cost to riders. This route connects the Purdue University campus with downtown Lafayette. CityBus routes, schedules, maps and more information are available on the CityBus website.
For those who drive, parking permits are available through Purdue Parking.
The Purdue Campus Connect shuttle provides free transportation for faculty, staff, and students who travel between the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses. Operated by Royal Excursion, the service offers multiple weekday round trips and a reduced weekend schedule during the fall and spring semesters. Information about pickup and drop-off locations, schedules, and seat reservations is available online.
For regional travel, Lafayette Limo and Reindeer Shuttle provide transportation to Indianapolis International Airport and Chicago O’Hare.
