Research Summary:

I am a PhD student in the Schlebach Lab, where I am broadly interested in the intersection of membrane protein biology and translational regulation. My work will focus on understanding how G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), a key class of membrane proteins, are regulated through programmed ribosomal frameshifting (PRF). By combining experimental and computational approaches, I aim to uncover how PRF contributes to the expression and functional diversity of these proteins. This research has potential implications for understanding disease mechanisms and therapeutic targeting of GPCRs.

Why did you choose to attend PULSe:

I chose the PULSe program because of its interdisciplinary focus, collaborative environment, and flexibility to explore diverse areas within the life sciences.

About Me: (Hobbies and Interests when not in lab):

Outside of the lab, I enjoy doing yoga to stay grounded and relaxed. I love traveling and exploring new cultures and cuisines. I also enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family, going for walks in nature, and listening to podcasts.
