Training Group:

Chemical Biology

Research Summary:

I work on nucleic acid therapies. Specifically, my research utilizes the antitumor activity of certain microRNAs combined with synthetic chemistry to develop microRNA-based treatments against osteosarcoma (bone cancer).

Why did you choose to attend PULSe:

I chose PULSe because my field of interest, drug discovery, is highly multidisciplinary. Therefore, selecting a program that enables me to learn about the drug discovery process from different angles was the best option. Rotating in labs from various departments helped me acquire a wide range of skills and made me discover techniques and methods from computational biology and cancer biology, which I incorporate in my work.

About Me: (Hobbies and Interests when not in lab):

I have practiced baton twirling competitively at an international level for 15 years, so I like to practice for fun every other week. I also enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, planning trips, and meeting with friends for board games or to play sports (I never say no to a friendly volleyball game).
