Computational and Systems Biology

Research Areas:

Our research program focuses on both sensorimotor mechanisms underlying speech production and sensorimotor difficulties associated with stuttering. We also study non-speech (e.g., upper limb) motor control and learning.

Importance of Interdisciplinary Research:

We combine multiple research techniques (e.g., acoustics, electromagnetic articulography, computational modeling, electroencephalography, computer vision, magnetoencephalography, and magnetic resonance imaging) to elucidate sensorimotor mechanisms involved in speech motor control and motor learning.
