Research Areas:

Our lab focuses on diseases of membrane protein misfolding and seeks to understand how mutations and small molecules influence this process.

Current Projects:

Our group employs a variety of biochemical, cellular, and computational approaches to understand the molecular mechanisms of disease. Projects include a variety of drug targets involved in numerous diseases including cystic fibrosis, retinitis pigmentosa, autism, and epilepsy.

Importance of Interdisciplinary Research:

Our group follows questions rather than methods. We seek to combine perspectives and piece together divergent approaches to answer new scientific questions.
