Research Areas:
The Hsu Lab operates at the intersection of molecular imaging and nanomedicine, with the mission of advancing innovative strategies to improve human health. Our approach begins with identifying unmet clinical needs, then developing creative solutions in partnership with multidisciplinary experts, and finally implementing and refining these strategies to maximize both scientific impact and translational potential.
Current Projects:
Current and prospective research directions include: 1. Designing multifunctional nanoplatforms for image-guided applications (PET, CT, MRI, optical) combined with therapeutic modalities such as radiotherapy and immunotherapy. 2. Investigating mechanisms at the nano–bio interface to better understand and improve immunomodulatory outcomes. 3. Conducting preclinical studies with in vivo disease models and new alternative methodologies (e.g., advanced in vitro systems) to evaluate the safety and efficacy of nanomedicine.
