Research:

I am an evolutionary anthropologist and human biologist with research grounded in life history theory. My work focuses on human behavioral and reproductive ecology, evolutionary obstetrics, human dietary evolution, and early-life immunonutritional development. I integrate quantitative research methods and models from evolutionary biology, nutrition science, epidemiology, and ecological and behavioral sciences.

Current Projects:

1. Modeling Maternal/Infant Interactions and Reproductive Energetics in the Bolivian Tsimane, 2. Theoretical and Empirical Models of Human Dietary Evolution and Divisions of Labor, 3. Urbanization, Migration and Indigenous Health in Perú, 4. Causes and Consequences of Rising Cesarean Delivery Rates in Yucatec Maya Subsistence Farmers.
